About Us

Hi I am Corey! I am a married 32-year-old triathlete and runner working as a strategic project manager at Caterpillar. I am happy you stopped by the little blog here! Schnoodles of Fun may be a strange name, but it perfectly describes my life with my hubby and schnoodle puppies!

I grew up in Dickinson, TX with the most amazing parents and older brother. I was a three sport athlete in high school (volleyball, softball and swimming) and played Division I softball as a Redbird at Illinois State University. Go ‘Birds!

Besides playing softball (and having fun!!) in college, I also got a degree in Chemistry and an MBA. After college, I interned with Caterpillar in Peoria, IL then started working there full-time in the Marine Division in 2006 and have had the most amazing opportunities to live and travel all over the world!!

In addition to my love for all things running, swimming and biking, I also have a passion for traveling, snowboarding, wakeboarding, watching reality TV, reading and drinking wine.

My husband, Brad, was also blessed with an amazing family and is in the middle of three, with a younger sister and older brother. Even though he was born and spent most of his life in Morton, IL, his world travels started early as his family also spent time living in Hong Kong and in Singapore when he was growing up! Brad went to Truman State University where he was a Sig Ep. He now is a commercial real estate broker for Coldwell Banker Commercial and is lucky enough to have 365 days of vacation a year work from home!

Brad is obsessed with loves to golf, and also loves traveling, snowboarding, wakeboarding, watching sports and doing home improvement projects.

We got married in 2010 and are currently living in Greenville, SC. We absolutely love Greenville and it couldn’t be a more perfect place for Brad’s golfing habit and my swim, bike, run addiction. We have so many great friends in Greenville that you will see and hear all about at Schnoodles of Fun!

Hi Wendi! My company (Caterpillar) moved us here. My office is out in Fountain Inn, but we live in the Augusta Rd. area. But when we first moved here we were at the Lofts at Mills Mill. We absolutely love Greenville!

  3. After looking at a number of the articles on your site, I truly appreciate your technique of blogging. I saved as a favorite it to my bookmark site list and will be checking back in the near future. Please check out my web site too and tell me how you feel.

  4. Greetings! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My website looks weird when viewing from my iphone 4. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to resolve this issue. If you have any recommendations, please share. With thanks!

  8. Hi Corey! My name is Mario. I was hoping you could answer a question I have about your blog. Send me an email when you get a chance. You can reach me at trucillo.mario (at) recallcenter (dot) com

  9. Hi,
I ran across your blog on Google search, and loved it!

My company Athletes Brand is currently working with tri-athlete, Eric McElvenny, who is a retired Marine as well. This Sunday he’s going for the world record for fastest time for an amputee in an Ironman race at Ironman Arizona.

Today we launched a shirt that Eric designed with us for the tri-athlete and cycling community, to raise money and awareness for the Challenged Athletes Foundation – Operation Rebound, to help get wounded veterans physically active again. It will only be available for 2 weeks from Nov. 10th – 23rd.

As we try to get the cause and Eric’s story of inspiration in front of the tri-athlete world, I wanted to see if by chance you could help us get his cause in front of our goal of 20 million people in 2 weeks by doing a blog post or helping in social media over the next 2 weeks. We do these campaigns with athletes of all sports and it would be amazing to see the tri community come together in a big way for Eric and Operation Rebound.

For us, it’s all about awareness even though the proceeds are going to the cause as well. The more people talking about the campaign, the more that hear Eric’s story and the more that can help Operation Rebound get our vets back up and active.

Here’s the Press Release for Eric’s shirt: athletesbrand.com/eric-mcelvenny-pr
Here’s where to buy the shirts: https://athletesbrand.com/eric

I’m looking forward to hearing back and thanks so much for your time!

Tell me what you think!
