We finally got a Lululemon showroom in Greenville! No, we still don’t have an actual store, but we are definitely moving in the right direction.
I have been following Lululemon Greenville on Facebook since I first heard they were coming to town and week after week, I saw different opportunities for run club, community yoga classes, cross-fit, etc. and every time I had to miss all of the fun because I was training for Beach 2 Battleship. There was just no way I could fit it all in.
Fortunately, now that I am fully recovered, and looking to add fun things (and more mileage) to my routine, I FINALLY got to go to Thursday night run club! I got there a little early to make sure I could find parking in downtown and browsed the showroom for a little while. There are about about 1584 different things that I would really love to add to my wardrobe, but I don’t think Brad would appreciate me spending 4-digit amounts of $$ on workout clothes…so instead I just drooled over the Wander Unders, Scuba Hoodies and running tanks, while mentally making my Christmas list.
Eventually a few other girls showed up and soon we were headed out for a nice, easy run. Normally the group runs out and back on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, which is conveniently located right next to the showroom, but it was really dark and no one had a headlamp, so we did some loops around downtown.
After about 15 minutes, the super sweet girl I was running with asked me if I was “blogger Corey”? It two seconds for me to figure out that it was Steph (who just finished her first marathon!). We have connected through our blogs for a while now, so it was really fun to meet in person. I honestly thought she looked familiar when she first came in the store, but I definitely did not make that connection. It’s funny how you sometimes recognize people from pictures on-line and sometimes you don’t.
Unfortunately I am really lazy, so I never got any pictures, but Steph, let’s definitely do that next time?!
After we finished, I ran back to my car and ended up with 4 miles total. A perfect recovery run after 5 hilly morning miles that sucked the life out of me and my new “embracing the hills” mentality.
I am looking forward to making this a regular part of my week and even hoping that I can make it work during marathon training this spring. Any other local Greenville runners want to join us on Thursday nights? Jeni? Lindsay?
