I have mentioned that our good friends (and neighbors), Jason & Alicia, were getting married, several times over the last few months. First, it was going to their couples’ shower, then the bachelorette party, then my pre-wedding run. Last Saturday was their big day, but we had a lot of fun in the days leading up to it!
We all got together Thursday afternoon at Downtown Alive in Greenville for a little live music and beer to welcome all the guests to town.
We had a fun dinner that night at Ale House and got to know some of their friends and family from out of town we hadn’t met before.
Friday morning when the nervous bride called me at 7:45 ready tackle the to do list for the day, I canned any thoughts of a quick morning workout and hit the road with her. Afterall, I took my bridesmaid duties very seriously…
No but seriously, we got a ton of stuff done, including some shopping for the honeymoon (and some shopping for myself!) and I was happy to be able to spend the day with her and keep the nerves away!
Of course we capped of Friday with the rehearsal dinner, a b-b-q and more drinks out that evening!
And then finally it was the big day! We spent the whole day hanging out, getting glammed up and hairsprayed to the max…
And finally it was time to get the bride in her dress…
Then after a few pictures, we were back up in our dressing area to relax and enjoy the last few moments before the wedding.
And then finally, the ceremony:
Other than the preacher accidentally calling the bride Ashley (her sister’s name!), the ceremony was perfect! And then…we celebrated!
(these pics are from my camera…not sure why they are so blurry?!)
And then I almost lost my husband to his very beautiful dance partner…
And then, sadly, it was over, but we sent the bride & groom off with a bang!
It was a beautiful day and I couldn’t be happier to have been a part of it!
